A template part is a reusable section inside templates, like a header, footer, sidebar, or a post loop layout. Templating is the overall system that decides which template loads for each request, using rules called the template hierarchy. In block themes, templates, and template parts can be edited in the Site Editor and stored as HTML files. In classic themes, templates are usually PHP files.
