To transfer a GoDaddy website to WordPress, first set up a WordPress site on your new host or on WordPress.com. If your GoDaddy site already uses WordPress, the move is usually done by downloading the site files with FTP, exporting the database with phpMyAdmin, uploading both to the new host, and updating the WordPress configuration file. GoDaddy also offers a plugin-based migration option for WordPress sites. If your GoDaddy site is not built with WordPress, you usually rebuild the design manually and move the content separately. After migration, test pages, links, images, menus, and your domain settings carefully.
